Introduction

Bee Mocha is my most recently designed and debuted character, having debuted on March 1st, 2024.

Design History

Initial Design

Bee Mocha's earliest design consisted of just a front view and headshot sketch. This would be expanded upon later the same day, where he would receive a full (albeit black and white) reference sheet.

The design differed fairly significantly from the Mocha design at the time, lacking any of the aquatic elements he had. Notably, this is the only design Bee Mocha had that feature a bee tail.

This design would remain almost entirely untouched until June 2025, where his eye shape would be adjusted (moving the flat part from the bottom to the top of the eye) and changing his legs to be entirely black. These changes were first seen in the "Bee Mocha Card" artwork.

2025 Redesign

Just three months after those small design tweaks, Bee Mocha would receive a design overhaul. The initial concept for this design overhaul was created on September 18th, 2025, and reintroduced the aquatic elements from Mocha that were absent in the design previously. It also experimented changing the anntennae shape as well.

Five days later (September 23rd, 2025), this redesign would be expanded upon and made official. The changes to the antennae shape were dropped, and drawings more clearly depicting the tail markings were added. This design is his most up-to-date design.

Trivia

• Bee Mocha is the newest of all my characters.
• Bee Mocha was designed fairly impulsively, and I don't even really remember doing the headshot sketch of him on the account of being heavily sleep deprived.
• Bee Mocha is my first character not to be depicted wearing a scarf.
  • Despite this, his neck is not visible due to all the fluff. I'm seemingly allergic to drawing necks.
• Bee Mocha inspired a VRChat outfit for Mocha, and I can confirm the antennae are just as annoying as they look.
• If I were ever to get a fursuit, Bee Mocha is the most likely character for it to be based upon.
  • If it were to be a partial suit however, I'd actually go with Mocha, as he would be better suited for that.
• Bee Mocha buzzes like a cat would purr.
